Meet Dr. Henderson
First Presbyterian’s Opening Doors Capital Campaign identified mental health as an outreach priority after Charlotte’s Opportunity Task Force included access to mental healthcare as a major factor in socioeconomic mobility and flourishing. FPC recognized barriers to quality, accessible mental health counseling within the uptown community (cost, location) and set out to partner with excellent therapists to provide care in the area.
Kenya Henderson, Therapist, DHA, MSW, LCSWA, provides services to individuals and couples, ages 14 and up, offering support for a wide range of challenges. She specializes in anxiety, depression, workplace stress, grief and loss, relationship and divorce concerns, men’s and women’s issues, and spiritual grief, including church hurt.
