Presby Psych honors the whole person in body, mind, and spirit. We recognize that clergy and members of church communities benefit when counselors and psychotherapists are sensitive to the role of religion and spirituality in their lives. Church staff members and congregants may also welcome occasional workshops that address subjects like parenting, marriage, common mental health issues. Clients who do not belong to a faith community, or follow a particular religion, may have spiritual strivings they want to include in their therapeutic conversations. Still others who have been hurt within a church community may be able to restore their spirit when psychotherapy makes space for discussions of spiritual betrayal and healing.
