Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Education: Ms. Boone earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology at the College of William and Mary.  She received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNC Charlotte where she was a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the national honor society in Counseling.

Clinical Practice: Katie works clinically with young adults, adults, couples and families.  She is experienced with the spectrum of mental health issues, as well as with challenging life transitions.  Her previous career in corporate marketing and consulting provides her with real-life appreciation for the complexity of career issues and balancing them with family and other relationships.  She is passionate about working clinically with individuals, couples and families from the LGBTQ community and with members of other marginalized communities.  In all cases, she believes that the therapeutic relationship provides clients with space and support to access internal resources in order to heal and grow.

Clinical Team Membership: Ms. Boone co-chairs the LGBTQ+ Sensitive Counseling and Psychotherapy Team and is a member of the Trauma Recovery Support and Psychotherapy Team.

Location: Katie practices at our Sharon Road/South Park Location where she accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield, out-of- network benefits and sliding scale fees.
