Zaire King, LMFTA

Mrs. King is originally from Chicago, IL and moved to Northern California where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University. She would later receive her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University with an emphasis in complex trauma research and multicultural therapeutic approaches. As a first-generation graduate, Zaire studied a multitude of counseling approaches for individual, marriage and family systems. With over 15 years as a mental health provider, she understands the importance of destigmatizing mental health, and embodying social justice practice by serving marginalized communities and families. She has a background in classical, modern and African dance, and believes the body is a tool that can inform the mind and spirit. Zaire takes an eclectic approach to therapy services integrating mindfulness techniques, neuroscience, expressive arts and family systems, treating each client holistically. She is experienced in treating disorders related to trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression. Utilizing a collaborative, person centered treatment approach, she focuses on developing healthy coping skills and providing psychoeducation. Zaire is passionate in working with clients from all different backgrounds, sexual orientation and religious affiliations, and is a LGBTQIA2S+ ally. Mrs. King is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate and works with adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, couples and families.
